Hartsville Community Connection: Standing Pines believes in community! Every October, we pack up our crew and head to downtown Hartsville to hand out candy during their massive Treats in the Streets celebration. It’s become one of our favorite traditions – watching thousands of costumed kids light up the historic downtown streets!

We had so much fun with our CCC friends this weekend! Over two dozen families visited Standing Pines.
Stand out activities included a surprise educational visit from a local falconer following a rehabilitated wild owl release and an opportunity for kids to help stock our new lake with minnow in a well supervised surprise boating activity! Learn More
🌲 Standing Pines Earth Day Tree Planting Success!
April 12-13, 2025
We had such a wonderful weekend celebrating Earth Day early at Standing Pines! A dozen families joined us to plant approximately 200 baby longleaf pine trees throughout our campsites and recreational areas.
Families enjoyed our special $20/night camping rate while participating in this important conservation effort. 🌱 Weekend highlights included:
- Welcome reception at the Welcome Center
- Community campfire with a special s’mores bar
- Full hookup camping experiences
- Time for families to enjoy our dog parks and gem mining
- Spectacular #StandingPinesSunsets

🦉 Wildlife Release: Eastern Screech Owl – On March 24, 2025 we welcomed a rehabilitated owl to its new home at Standing Pines! In partnership with Black Creek Wildlife Center, this special release event offered a unique opportunity to learn about local wildlife conservation.
Guests gathered to witness the inspiring moment when this rehabilitated Eastern Screech Owl returned to the wild after months of specialized care.
The event included an educational presentation about owl conservation, rehabilitation processes, and the importance of protecting wildlife habitats.
🎆 NYE: Carolina Camping Club (CCC) at Standing Pines – On December 31, 2024 we rang in 2025 with our inaugural New Year’s Eve celebration! This special event brought the Carolina Camping Club community together for an unforgettable evening under the stars. Guests enjoyed campfires, festive food, games, and a special midnight toast as we welcomed the new year together. The evening featured camping camaraderie at its best, with shared stories, laughter, and the creation of lasting memories in our wildly comfortable camping environment.
