What We Ask
Work campers contribute ~16 hours per week in exchange for their site and utilities. We are flexible. Couples may split the time, with each working 8 hours per week. Or one spouse can contribute the 16 hours.
We work around your schedule. Remote work or outside jobs are fine. Simply let us know your availability and we can work with you on scheduling.
Summer 2026 Open Roles
Events Host/Hostess — Most Critical Need
Our summer Hostess had a last minute change of plans. This is an immediate opening. We are looking for someone who loves to host small events for guests. You’ll run our weekly programming, with a max of 16 hours per week spent planning and hosting Thursday Family Game Nights, Friday Movie Nights, and Saturday Events.
Guest Services & Store (Inside Role, AC Climate Controlled)
Ready to help guests check in, make reservations, answer questions and run the camp store? Enjoy the air conditioned comfort of the Welcome Center while representing Standing Pines to our guests. Guests Services team members have 2 hours of the work day dedicated to cleaning the bathrooms and store. 8 hours per day, 9am-5pm. Target Start Day: July 1
Grounds & Appearance
Help Standing Pines look great for guests! This is an outside role, with hours concentrated in 4 hour blocks during the summer to beat the heat. Duties include campsite trash pick up, mowing, weeding, edging and general landscaping. Typical summer hours are 6am-10am, with flexibility to adjust if needed. Target Start Day: July 1

Fall 2026 & Winter 2027 Open Roles
We’re actively recruiting now for winter positions. We are open 365 as the South Carolina Pee Dee region typically offers mild winters with good RV camping weather.
Several work camping families will return to Standing Pines this coming winter. We are looking to grow the winter team to focus on completing new projects as well as maintain guest services.
If you’d like to lock in a winter assignment, please email to apply now. We prefer to schedule work camping dates several months in advance.
Will I like work camping at Standing Pines?
The best fit for Standing Pines is someone who:
Genuinely enjoys people. Our entire team interacts with guests.
Takes pride in details. Clean bathrooms, a warm greeting, and a well-run event matter here
Communicates openly. We are hands-on owners. Talk to us. We listen.
Is reliable. Guests count on consistency and so do we.
Brings positive energy. We are primarily a vacation campground. Guests come for a great experience. Let’s help them enjoy wildly comfortable camping!
No prior campground experience required. Every role is learnable if you are comfortable with people, eager to learn and ready to be part of a community.
