Why contractors choose Standing Pines

Extended‑stay guests tell us they stay here for months at a time because the park feels more like a peaceful home base than a jobsite lot. For contractors and traveling professionals, that combination of comfort and practicality matters.

  • Large, peaceful full‑hookup sites
Full‑hookup RV sites (water, sewer, 30/50 amp electric) at a newer campground designed for wildly comfortable camping, not just overnight stops. Sites are spacious enough for work trucks, gear, and pets without feeling crammed.

  • Easy commute to major projects
Convenient drive to projects in Hartsville, Florence, Darlington, Cheraw, McBee, and Bishopville, plus the broader Pee Dee and Sandhills region. Typical commute times are in the 20–40 minute range, with quick access to the I‑95 / I‑20 corridor near Florence.

  • Reliable internet, modern bathhouse, and 24/7 laundry
Strong Wi‑Fi throughout the park so you can handle remote work, job paperwork, and streaming. A modern bathhouse with Oasis Showers gives you a “spa‑style” clean at the end of a long shift, and the 24/7 Laundry Lounge with digital access means no wasting evenings at town laundromats.

  • Genuinely pet‑friendly and easy to unwind
Up to 3 pets per site are welcome, with two large fenced dog parks, walking trails, and space for dogs to burn off energy. On your off days, you have trails, a 3‑acre lake and pond, and big sunset views so it feels like a retreat instead of just a place to sleep.

  • Comfort, safety, and clear expectations
Quiet, family‑owned campground with clear rules, site standards, and an extended‑stay license agreement (not a residential lease). Guests consistently mention a strong feeling of comfort and safety, with owners and work‑camping staff on site and a respectful community of other long‑term guests.

  • Proven home base for long‑term workers
Standing Pines is already home to multiple long‑term workers, including a 24‑month hospital contractor and trades on regional industrial projects. Many of our contractor guests stay 3–6 months or more and return for new phases, outages, and future jobs in the area.

FAQs for Professionals
Considering Extended Stays

Who is this for?
Extended stays at Standing Pines work best for:

  • Traveling trades (electricians, plumbers, welders, HVAC, civil, and industrial crews).

  • Travel nurses
  • Site supervisors and project managers on multi‑month assignments.

  • Healthcare, industrial, and clean‑energy contractors rotating through Pee Dee projects.

Can my employer pay directly?
Yes. We often work with employers who cover site fees for their team. Third‑party payment is allowed, but the guest on site remains responsible for following rules and the license agreement.

What kind of agreement do you use?
Contractor and extended stays are set up under a Standing Pines RV Site License Agreement. It is a revocable license for temporary lodging at a recreational campground—not a lease, rental agreement, or residential tenancy.

How long can I stay?
We understand some projects are long term, and we can work with you on the time needed for your assignment in the Pee Dee.

Standing Pines is not a residential park. Extended-stay guests are approved one month at a time, subject to review, continued compliance with park rules, and site availability.

Can I have visitors or family with me?
Yes. Up to 6 total people (including day visitors) may be at your site, as long as community standards and quiet hours are respected.

Can I bring pets?
Absolutely—up to 3 pets per site, leashed except in our off‑leash dog parks. All pets must be current on vaccinations.

Can I receive mail or packages?
Standing Pines isn’t set up as a residential address. We may accept occasional packages as a courtesy, but regular mail and most deliveries should go to USPS General Delivery, a UPS Store, or another address.

What about noise and site standards?
We keep a quiet, “vacation‑ready” standard across the park: quiet hours at night, tidy sites, and respectful neighbors. This helps contractors rest well and keeps the property pleasant for everyone.
