Wildly Comfortable Camping Choices

From crackling campfires to cozy cabins, Standing Pines offers camping options!. Whether bring your RV, try tent camping, or glamp in an authentic log cabin, our big sites offer outdoor space for discovering memories together. In fact, our campsites are so welcoming you may find that a Forest Friend character showing up around your campsite.  HINT: check campsite signs

All Standing Pines campsites feature a large picnic table and fire ring with cooking grate. We strongly encourage guests to build an evening fire – we offer bundles of firewood and starter kits to make getting your fire going simple.  After all, nothing quite says camping like a campfire and s’mores!  (and yes – we have all those supplies on hand in the store for you as well!)

Don’t tell anyone….but yes, we have favorite sites! Check out spotlight site M11, a premium waterfront (buddy) site.

Glamping, Standing Pines Style, Log Cabins

Our authentic log cabins offer the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Step inside and the first thing you’ll notice is that wonderful pine scent – these aren’t just cabin-styled units, they’re genuine log cabins crafted in Pennsylvania and carefully set up for Standing Pines.

Perfect for families new to camping or those looking for a break from setting up tents, our cozy A-frame cabins create an instant connection to nature with all the comforts you crave:

❄️ Year-round comfort with air conditioning and heating
🛏️ Flexible sleeping space for up to 4 guests
🧊 Convenience features including mini-fridge and microwave
🧸 Kid-friendly options with our adventure sofa that transforms from extra sleeping space to pillow fort

These cabins have been guest favorites since they arrived on property! The combination of natural wood interiors, practical amenities, and thoughtful touches like the convertible adventure sofa (added after a guest suggestion for toddler-friendly sleeping) creates a uniquely comfortable base for your outdoor adventures.

80+ Full Hook Up RV Campsites

Our spacious full-hookup RV sites are designed by campers, for campers. As a family who started with tent camping and worked our way up through rental RVs to our own travel trailer, we know firsthand what makes or breaks a camping experience. That’s why every RV site at Standing Pines offers a generous 45-foot width – giving plenty of elbow room to truly enjoy the outdoors (and space for more trees to grow as our campground matures).

Each site includes:

🔌 Full hookups (30/50 amp electrical, water, sewer)

📶 Free WiFi access for staying connected

🪑Custom 8-foot picnic table with room for the whole family

🔥 Fire ring with adjustable cooking grate for perfect campfire meals

🚎 Gravel pads to make set up simpler

We understand different families camp differently. Guests can choose from several different RV site types, each offering full hook up, picnic table and fire rings while catering to different camping preference.

↔️ Pull-Through Sites: Our most spacious option with room for RVs up to 80 feet long (because we know the stress of backing in – Amy refuses to do anything but pull-through sites when she’s driving!)

⬅️ Back-In Sites: Comfortable sites nestled along our property edges for campers who’ve mastered the art of backing up (or have patient partners).  Many of these sites back to wooded views.

💦 Premium Waterfront Sites: Prime locations near the Welcome center with views of the 3 acre lake.  These sites will become more beautiful as the campground matures.

👪 Quad Sites: Perfect for camping with friends or family, these four pull-through sites create a shared central space – your own private “park within a park.” Inspired by Daddy Joe’s in Tabor City, NC, these quads allow extended families or friend groups to “circle the wagons” for a more connected camping experience.

After years of squeezing into tight campsites at other campgrounds, we designed Standing Pines with the elbow room we always wished for as campers. No more worrying about sliders bumping neighbors – our sites give you space to spread out, set up your outdoor living room, and truly enjoy the natural beauty around you.

Compact RV Sites for Tents & CamperVans

Our tent sites blend traditional camping with thoughtful comfort – born from our own tent camping experiences. Our last tent camping experience was in a beautiful mountain state park with rocky ground at the campsite.  Technically, that night might actually be considered car camping as we wound up napping in the car.  That’s why we’ve created sandy tent pads that actually feel good under your sleeping bag. Have you ever fell asleep on the sand by the ocean?  Like that, but in your own tent bed!

We’ve also added 20-amp electrical service because modern families need power for lights, device charging, and small comforts that make outdoor living more enjoyable.

 Each tent site features:

30-amp electrical service for lights and charging needs

🪑 Oversized picnic table for meals and games

🔥 Fire ring with adjustable cooking grate for the  campfire experience

🏕️ Sandy tent pad designed for comfortable sleeping

🚗 Dedicated gravel parking space for one vehicle

Our Compact RV sites work for:

👍 Traditional tent camping families seeking a more natural experience

🚐 Small campervans  that fit on a 10’x20′ gravel pad

🐕 Campers wanting to be near our dog parks for convenient pet access

Our Compact Site Considerations

🚿 These sites are furthest from our bathhouse facilities

🚲 We recommend bringing bikes to easily access the Welcome Center amenities

📶 WiFi extends to these sites, but signal may vary

🌳 Enjoy – these tent sites back up to the “tree islands” separating the campsites from the dog parks.

Note: These sites are designed primarily for tent camping.  CamperVans that fit on a 10’x20′ gravel parking spot are welcome on these sites.
